Baptism will be held on EVERY FIRST SUNDAY, before the 10:30 am Worship Celebration. If you have accepted Christ and are a member of Watts, register to be baptized by THE SUNDAY BEFORE BAPTISM, at 11:45 pm.

Children's Church/Teen Talk/Nursery

Join the Children & Youth Ministry for Children’s Church, Teen Talk, and Nursery during BOTH SERVICES ON THEIR RESPECTIVE SUNDAYS. On 2nd Sundays, Elementary-school youth will have an opportunity to connect with each other and caring adults as they learn more about God in an engaging and interactive way. On 4th Sundays, Middle, and High School-aged youth will have an opportunity to connect with each other and caring adults as they discuss topics relevant to today’s teens while developing a biblical foundation to grow closer to God and each other. On BOTH 2nd and 4th Sundays, the Nursery is available.

CHOSEN - WORLD VISION MISSION INITIATIVE

Watts Chapel in partnership with the global organization World Vision, and we are part of the CHOSEN Campaign.

Thank you to each individual, family, and ministry who stepped up to sponsor a child in Rwanda. Through your commitment and generosity, over 200 children have been sponsored. Please stay in touch with your child and keep up with them. You may download the World Vision application if you haven’t already or communicate by logging into your World Vision account (https://www.worldvision.org/sponsorship).

Easter EGG-stravaganza

Children ages 12 and under, you and your families are invited to the Easter EGG-stravaganza on Saturday, April 19, 10 am to 12 pm.  There will be eggs, prizes, snacks, and fellowship as we remind ourselves that HE IS RISEN!

Global 6K for Water

Watts Chapel will hold our annual hybrid World Vision Global 6K for Water on Saturday, May 17, 9:00 am-12:00 pm at Southeast Raleigh High School. 6K is 3.7 miles, the average distance to get to clean water in many underdeveloped countries.  You provide clean water to one person through your registration fee, which is $50 for adults, $25 for youth 18 and under. The Watts Chapel goal is $15,000…help reach the goal!

Global 6K Volunteers

Volunteer to serve at the Global 6K on Saturday May 17, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. 

This is a churchwide event and the support of everyone is needed. Volunteers are needed! Duties will be shared on the day of the event and will range from registration to being a “cheerleader” for our team!

Lenten Hymn & A Homily Service

Maundy Thursday

Celebrate Holy Week at Watts at the Maundy Thursday service on April 17 at 7:00 pm. There will be no Noon Day Bible Study, Word on Wednesday, or Awana on Wednesday, April 16.

MEDIA TEAM MEMBERS NEEDED

The Watts Chapel Media Team is looking for volunteers to assist with weekly broadcast production and social media. We are looking to build our team with anyone eager and willing to learn what it takes to operate cameras, direct, assist with social media, and assist with audio production. Email Sis. MONTHLY RUN/WALK CHALLENGE

The Health & Wellness Ministry is encouraging members to stay active and healthy. Members are invited to participate in the Run/Walk Challenge from March 1-31. Walk or run 50, 75, or 100 miles this month. Download the NRC (Nike Run Club) App on your Smartphone or Smartwatch. MS Walk-Health & Wellness Ministry

Join Our Team! The Health and Wellness Ministry has a Watts Chapel Team in the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Walk on April 5, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Perimeter Park, Morrisville. There are 1-mile and 3-mile routes. You can walk on the team or give a donation.

Premarital Workshop

We are excited to expand our digital ministry and reach more people through Facebook and YouTube Live streams. To help with this effort, we encourage you to share our live streams while in the sanctuary. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to do so:

Sharing on Facebook Live Stream:

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR PHONE IS SILENCED AND THE VOLUME IS ON ZERO, SO THAT WE DON’T HAVE FEEDBACK IN THE SERVICE (This is crucial).

  • Open the Facebook app on your smartphone or tablet.
  • Search for “Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church” in the search bar at the top.
  • Once you find our official page, click on it to open.
  • Look for the live stream post (it will typically have a red “Live” badge).
  • Under the live stream video, you will see options to like, comment, and share.
  • Click on the “Share” button.
  • Choose “Share Now (Public)” to make sure your friends and followers can see it.
  • In the caption or comment section, include the hashtag #WCMBC to help share the gospel of Jesus Christ and broaden our reach 
  • Click on “Post” or “Share” to share the live stream to your Facebook timeline.

Sharing on YouTube Live Stream:

  • Open the YouTube app on your smartphone or tablet.
  • In the search bar at the top, type “Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Live Stream.”
  • Once you find our live stream, click on it to open.
  • Below the video player, you will see options to like, comment, and share.
  • Tap on the “Share” button.
  • Choose the platform where you want to share it (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.).
  • Add a caption or message along with the hashtag #WCMBC to promote our church.
  • Click on “Share” to post the live stream link to your chosen platform.

Additional Tips:

  • Encourage your friends and family to tune in by sharing a personal invitation along with the live stream link.
  • Remind everyone to use the hashtag #WCMBC in their shares to create a sense of unity and promote our church online.
  • Feel free to share multiple times during the live stream to reach different audiences.

SMALL GROUP saturday

Join “Small Group Saturday” for our  VIRTUAL 6-week study, “How God Communicates with His People, Part 1”, 9 am to 10 am on Saturdays, starting March 8. The series includes how God speaks and reveals Himself through the Holy Spirit & the Bible. Lesson questions will be available on the Upcoming Events webpage starting February 28.

Join Saturday Small Group each Saturday for their weekly study sessions. Sessions begin at 9 AM.

TRAILBLAZERS SENIOR MINISTRY

The Watts Chapel Trailblazers Senior Ministry invites everyone age 55 and above to meet every 3rd Tuesday at 10 AM in the Multipurpose Room. Guest speakers, Senior News, Senior health tips, trips, and more are how our Seniors keep their minds and bodies active. TRANSPORTATION TO WORSHIP

Watts Chapel’s Transportation Ministry offers transportation to the 10:30 am Worship Service for riders within a 5-mile radius of the church (3703 Tryon Road, Raleigh). Reservations can be made starting at 9:00 am on Monday mornings and must be received by 11:00 am on the Friday before the upcoming Sunday service. A Transportation Waiver is required for each rider. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older. Masks are mandatory.

NOTE: Watts Chapel Transportation Vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair lift ramps.

WOMEN OF WATTS (WOW)

WOW Donation Drive

The Women of Watts is sponsoring a collection project for InterAct, the only provider of domestic violence and sexual assault services in Wake County, North Carolina.  Please bring needed items on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays in April.  Collection bins will be in the vestibule and the Multipurpose Room.  A list of the items needed is below:

YAM Durham Bulls Baseball Game

Youth Volunteers at Oak city cares

There is an opportunity for 10 to 15 youth, 5th grade and up, to serve at Oak City Cares, 1430 S Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, on the 5th Saturdays: March 29, May 31, August 30, and November 29, from 12 pm to 2 pm.  We will serve in the distribution area to provide supplies to the homeless. If you are interested in joining us, please sign up. We hope to see you there.
